Sustainability Story of Svasara Jungle Lodge

|Sustainability Stories

Svasara Jungle Lodge sits close to the Kolara Gate of Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve, one of Maharashtra’s most compelling wildlife landscapes. Its Pinwheel story is defined by biodiversity conservation, low-density hospitality, and a more measured way of entering tiger country.

With only 12 rooms spread across 10 acres, Svasara resists the mistake of crowding the forest edge in the name of access. Its scale allows the wilderness to remain the primary presence. The lodge offers immersion in Tadoba’s rich and threatened forest landscape, where the guest experience is shaped by wildlife, interpretation, and respect for the natural world.

Its light footprint is also visible in design choices. Repurposed materials appear in the interiors, including almirahs crafted from metal and reclaimed teak doors, giving material life a second chapter. This is sustainability without self-congratulation, which is often the best kind.

Svasara reminds us that a jungle lodge should never behave like the main event. It is, at its best, a threshold.
